Basketball, Volleyball Over
Wednesday, 21 March 2007 05:05

The basketball season came to an end with St. Helen teams faring fairly well. The big surprise this year was the 4th and 5th grade girl team, coached by Mr. Nowakowski (father of Alana, 1st year coach and 2nd generation St. Helen alumnus): They made it to the third round of playoff games ending in 4th position.
The volleyball clinic also ended. This was the first year St. Helen had a volleyball after-school program, though the team did not participate in extra-mural games. Maybe next year...
On Saturday, March 24, both basketball and volleyball players will receive trophies and awards, as well as medals for sportsmanship. The program will go from 6 to 7:30. Pizza and soda will be served and a $5 fee per family is required.
Thanks to all those who made basketball and volleyball possible at St. Helen.
The soccer program now resumes!
