An Academic Foundation that Fosters

A LOVE OF LEARNING

St Helen School offers a comprehensive, challenging, individualized educational program for children in three year old preschool through 8th grade. In addition to the core subjects of math, religion, social studies, science, and language arts, students participate in music, art, PE, and technology classes.

This well-rounded curriculum, paired with worship and service, athletics and after school activities, ensure our students become the very best version of themselves.

At St. Helen School we look to educate and nurture the spiritual, academic and social needs of all students.

Preparing graduates to be thoughtful and engaged citizens with a personal and active faith.

Early Childhood

Preschool - Kindergarten

Preschool and Kindergarten students are taught by experienced educators who know that play-based learning is the best way for our youngest students to practice sharing, making friends, solving problems, and figuring out the world around them.  They learn basic Bible stories and hear that they are a child of God, special and loved, just as they are.

Junior High

Sixth Grade - Eighth Grade

The three years of Junior High, grades six through eight, represent a time of challenge and discovery.  Junior High students practice their writing skills, conduct research in the science lab, read poetry, novels, and non-fiction, and study world history, American history, government, and civics.  Sixth, seventh and eighth graders also spend time learning algebra, geometry and more complex mathematical topics.

In addition to learning more about our Catholic faith, junior high students also study world religions to gain a deeper understanding of other faith traditions.

Seventh graders take the state and Federal Constitution Test. Eighth grade students are Confirmed in the spring, taking a big step forward in their faith journey.
